About the Axis Foils Spitfire series
The Spitfire 1180 is the result of extensive development to bring a bigger Spitfire to market for the big guys and those riders whose local spots offer more marginal conditions. Spitfire 1180 diverges from the rest of the Spitfire family with an increased camber of 2.75% (More curve that creates lift. The other Spitfires and ART PRO’s are 2.5%) – the result:
- a very well-balanced foil
- foils up easily and feels comfortable immediately
- lift distribution is equal at speed and during acceleration
- a quick and predictable recovery from breaches and tip-outs
- turns very nicely and smoothly
- has remarkable low-end and prolonged slower-paced glide
The Spitfire 1180 is a great wing for those getting into down-winding. It doesn’t need to run as fast as the ART PRO 1201 or 1401 making it easy to stay on the bump. Turning and control are amazing for such a large wing, making downwind riding achievable for almost everyone. We feel it’s exactly the right time for this foil, offering a less torturous in-road on the downwind journey. As a dock and pump wing, the Spitfire 1180 is easy and forgiving to start, fun and surprisingly nimble to play with, and as such, is rapidly becoming a favourite among our dock starting and pump team riders. The Spitfire 1180 is a light-wind wing foiling and small/weak wave SUP weapon. It has easy lift and is user-friendly, it shares the same easy predictable nature that has made the rest of the Spitfire range so popular in all disciplines, and now the bigger guys can enjoy them too. For the wake crew, the Spitfire 1180 can ride any wake from the 1st to the 10th and will be a go-to for the larger guys. Spitfire foils are ideally matched with our Black Advance fuselage and Progressive or Skinny rear wing ranges. If you need screws for this wing, don’t forget to add a screwset to your order.

Free delivery to EU countries on orders from €100 to €449 and above. * Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the destination country.

We ship to all EU countries. Shipping costs can be calculated in your shopping cart.
VAT: Since 1 July 2021, VAT is applied according to the customer’s country of origin.
Shipping international
We ship worldwide, including to Switzerland, Norway, Dubai, the USA, and Australia. Please note that large items like boards cannot be shipped, and some items are available on request only.
Orders shipped outside the EU are exempt from 21% Dutch VAT. However, local customs fees and import VAT may apply.
Ships within 24 hours
Orders placed before 15:00 on business days are shipped the same day whenever possible. Otherwise, shipment will take place within 24 hours.
In stock in external warehouse
We don’t have this product in stock ourselves, but our supplier does. The product will be shipped directly from the supplier to your address. Your product may take a little longer to arrive.

Delivery Options
Delivered at home or at work, on weekdays and depending on the service we use on Saturdays.
Pick up (only in the Netherlands): By appointment, also possible in the evenings and on weekends.
When your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation by e-mail with a track & trace code. Then the delivery service takes over. The delivery time depends on your location. Unfortunately, we have no influence on that.
Returns
You have a legal cooling-off period of 14 calendar days when you are a customer within the EU. Within that period you can inform us to cancel the purchase. Refund of the purchase amount will be made after the actual return of the product. All transport costs are by the customer. Read more about the return procedure here.
