The challenge with parawings was simple — existing single-skin designs offered such a limited wind range that sessions quickly became frustrating. We wanted to create a parawing capable of handling everything from 15–30 knots in the same session, without compromise.

It needed to:

• Drive efficiently upwind
• Stash away effortlessly for true hands-free downwind freedom

Traditionally, those two characteristics don’t naturally coexist.

A dual-skin wing will always fly upwind more efficiently than a single-skin design, delivering greater stability, improved efficiency, and reduced arm fatigue. However, single-skin wings are lighter and more compact, making them easier to stow while riding.

So we got to work.

We partnered with NOVA Paragliders — winners of the 2025 Red Bull X-Alps — and tested extensively across a huge range of conditions throughout New Zealand. That combination of world-class engineering and real-world testing proved to be the perfect development formula.

After extensive refinement in harsh and unpredictable conditions, the Orbit was born — a parawing designed to combine the best characteristics of both single and dual-skin concepts.

Using ultra-light silicone-coated fabric and optimized short-line geometry for effortless stowing, we created a wing that:

• Drives upwind with incredible efficiency
• Packs away seamlessly into our Para Sack Belt system
• Delivers exceptional comfort during long sessions

The PPC Orbit Para Wing is engineered to shed water exceptionally efficiently during take-offs, combining an ultra-light silicone-coated fabric that resists water retention with full trailing-edge openings that allow trapped air and water to escape instantly — helping the wing relaunch lighter, recover faster, and pack down effortlessly.

But one major challenge remained:

While dual-skin wings excel in top-end control and efficiency, they often sacrifice low-end power.

That’s where the breakthrough happened.

Introducing our patent-pending POWER ASSIST Line system (PAL), integrated directly into our custom ergonomic carbon bar.

By engaging the brake line into FULL BRAKE mode, the Orbit generates instant low-end power, helping riders get up on foil effortlessly in lighter winds.

Once flying, simply release the brake system and the Orbit transforms back into a highly efficient upwind machine.

The result:

• The low-end power of a single-skin wing
• The upwind efficiency and comfort of a dual-skin wing
• An enormous usable wind range

We were genuinely blown away by how well it worked.

The Orbit was born from pure frustration — because nothing on the market delivered the riding experience we wanted ourselves.

Now it does.

The Orbit delivers one of the largest usable wind ranges in the parawing market today, combined with unmatched comfort, efficiency, and true downwind freedom.

Thanks to the efficiency of the dual-skin platform reducing load through the arms, many riders barely feel the need for a harness.

Materials & Line Specifications

The top surface is made using the same material used in this year’s Red Bull X-Alps winning glider. It delivers ultra light weight, high dimensional stability and long-lasting low porosity thanks to its silicone coating.

For the internal structure of the Orbit, we use the benchmark material for ultra-light paragliders. It offers an exceptional balance of low weight, durability, and long-term performance.

The light weight, yet durable silicon coated fabric ensures the wing packs down small for your DW runs.

The lines are a carefully selected combination of premium materials. To improve handling and deployment, we use specially selected low-tangle B and C lines, paired with wax-coated, larger diameter A lines that feel smooth in the hands while stashing.

The ergonomic carbon bar is designed to be easy on your hands and to minimise weight. Length: 36cm (2.7m/3.5m); 42cm (4.5m/5.9m)
