SurfEars 4.0 builds on this with enhanced durability and a new wingless option, offering added comfort under winter hoods or for smaller ears. Crafted partly from recycled ocean plastics and repurposed silicone, it’s designed to reduce environmental impact while performing at its best. SurfEars was born out of this very need.Our founder, Christian Dittrich, a cold-water surfer, experienced firsthand the frustration of ear infections during a surf trip in Morocco. Determined to find a solution, he and a team of engineers created SurfEars, the optimal surfing ear plugs that balance ear protection with the ability to hear the ocean. Surfer’s ear (exostosis) is a condition caused by prolonged exposure to cold water and wind, leading to bone growth in the ear canal. Over time, it can cause hearing loss and recurring infections. Swimmer’s ear, caused by trapped water and bacteria, leads to painful infections as well. For surfers, wearing earplugs isn’t just about comfort—it’s about protecting your ears from long-term damage and staying in the water without risking your hearing. Orders of €449,- and more are delivered free of charge to EU countries. *

Shipping outside the Netherlands
We ship to all EU countries. You can calculate your shipping rate in the shopping cart. VAT: Since the first of July 2021 we charge VAT from the country of which the order originates from.
We also ship to the USA, Swiss & Norway and other countries. Some on special request only. Outside the EU you don’t pay 21% Dutch VAT. You might be obliged to pay local customs charges and VAT on import.

Returns
You have a legal cooling-off period of 14 calendar days when you are a customer within the EU. Within that period you can inform us to cancel the purchase.
